DESIGNER | Alexander Girard, Charles & Ray Eames
In his work as an interior designer Alexander Girard developed a number of concepts for restaurants that went beyond colour schemes and furnishings to encompass such details as menu cards, matchboxes, tableware and napkins. The Paper Napkins feature some of the decorative motifs created by Alexander Girard for various purposes.
The expensive oeuvre of Charles & Ray Eames is not limited to product design, architecture, exhibition design and cinematography, but also encompasses a large number of graphic designs, most of which were created by Ray Eames. The Dot pattern was developed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1947 and began to appear on pillows, cushions, blankets and other items from 1949 onwards and for a limited time the pattern Sea Things from 1945 is also available.
